The Cornhole Scorer FAQs

Welcome to the FAQs! This is a constantly updating page, so actually frequently asked questions will end up here. I promise.

How come I can’t see stats for a match I played?

If you use the default players, “Player 1” or “Player 2,” there won’t be stats for that player. You should only use the default players if you are not tracking stats.

How do I play Dekaround?

Play versus a 0 ghost, and the app will ask if you want to play Dekaround if it is not already configured for it (10 rounds, 4 bags/round). Dekaround matches will show up as “[Player] Dekaround” in the Matches tab.

So what exactly are Leagues again?

Leagues are an easy way to keep a record of matches across devices. Any match played in the league can be viewed by anyone with the league added to their account.

In order to create or view leagues, make an account using your email, Google account, or with Sign in with Apple.

What’s the difference between Create and Add?

“Create” creates a new league, “Add” allows you to view or edit an existing league.

What does Activate/Deactivate mean? Why can’t I see the Activate button?

To view a league in the rest of the app and play matches for it, the league must be Activated in the Edit Leagues menu (the league name is in italics and the button next to it says Deactivate). Once a league is active, its name will appear at the top of the screen in the Scoreboard, Matches, Stats, and Settings tabs.

The Activate button will appear next to league names, so create or add a league first!

Why can’t I edit a league?

You can access different parts of the league based on your status in the league:

Creator (Owner): Add/delete players, add/delete editors, play/delete matches, delete the league

Editor: Add/delete players, play/delete matches

All others: View matches

How come I can’t see the matches I played before I added leagues?

To view local (non-league) matches and stats, make sure no league is activated in the Edit Leagues menu. If a league is activated, press Deactivate.

Can I add a local match to a league?

With version 3.1 or later, you can! Click on a match, then click “Add to League” or click “Edit” on the matches page and select the leagues you want to add, the click “Add to League.”

What are the options for sharing matches offline?

After clicking the share button, you will be presented with a variety of options.

The best-supported option is AirDrop, which allows you to send a match that will automatically be added to the recipient’s match list.

With Mail, the recipient must click on the .corn file, then click Copy to Cornhole.

Sending an iMessage with a match also can be done. After receiving the match, the recipient must click the information button in the top right corner of the conversation, then click attachments, then click on the .corn file. From there, simply click the share button in the bottom left corner and click Copy to Cornhole.
